New Years Planning Mistake #5 Not making your goals specific and smart. - Classy Career Girl

New Years Planning Mistake #5 Not making your goals specific and smart. Heres an excerpt from my free 2015 Planning Workshop.   Have you listened yet? Click here to download it now and make 2015 your best year ever! This is a perfect time for me to be doing this new year planning training  because I have learned so much the past 7 months since my daughter was born. What worked before my daughter, doesn’t work now. I had to eliminate so much from my to-do list and really just focus on what works. And I had to learn to say no to a lot of stuff. You would think that I had a better plan before I had a baby and had so many MORE hours per week to focus on my business but I have such a better plan in 2015 because of her because I WANT to spend time with her and my husband and the rest of my family and friends. Having a baby actually helped me prioritize my life, focus on what is important and plan out the activities and tasks that I loved doing so I am super excited for this year and the plan I have put in place. And the best part is that it is easy and I am not looking at my calendar right now and stressing out like I used to. So if you want your calendar to make you HAPPY not stressed, you are in t he right place! This week I am sharing the 5  mistakes people make when setting and keeping goals.  Click here for mistake #1, click here for mistake #2 and click here for mistake #3  and click here for mistake #4. And today we are covering mistake #5. Mistake #5: Not making your goals specific and smart. SMART. S.M.A.R.T. means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Sensitive. So this would mean NOT writing a goal that says, “Find a new job” or “Lose weight” or “Start a business” which is way too vague. A better goal would outline the date you want to get your new job, the type of job you want to get and even better get really specific and  change your goal to “Conduct informational interviews with 5 new people in the marketing industry by Jan 30th.” That goal is SMART. If you want to start or expand your business in 2015 or maybe you dream of submitting your resignation letter in 2015 like I was able to, an example of your goal could be, “Get my website up and identify my ideal client by Feb 28th.” So if you have tried to make new year’s goals in the past but it hasn’t worked, I feel your pain, I was there too. I was stuck in a dead end job I hated for over 4 years and every year I had the same resolution â€" Quit my job. Start my business. I totally get how frustrating it can be to be stuck and feeling like you aren’t making progress. Thats why I put all of my new year planning tips and advice into a one hour workshop that over 500 people attended! And now you can listen to the recording for free. Make sure you click here to download my free 2015 planning workshop here!

What Are Dermal Fillers Answering The Question In Full

What Are Dermal Fillers Answering The Question In Full As the New Year has already come and gone more and more individuals are starting to make good on their New Year’s resolutions. Maybe your resolution was to aim for those luscious lips that you have always wanted, or cover up those haunting acne scars that have been disfiguring you for the better part of your life. Whatever the situation is, there is simply no better way to achieve your goal than with dermal fillers. With this new revolutionary injectable filler more individuals are working their way to a better and more attractive life, but what exactly are these dermal fillers and how do they work? Dermal fillers are basically injectable fillers that are injected into the soft tissue of the face to help restore a smooth appearance. They can be injected into wrinkles or acne scars to fill in missing spots as well, but the effects are only temporary because the body eventually absorbs the fillers. However, you can undergo multiple procedures to achieve the same effect over and over again. Facial fillers are actually a synthetic material that is naturally derived from a type of poison. While there are several different types of fillers and the length of the effects can vary, not every type of filler out there will be suitable for you. You will have to consult with a plastic surgeon or a highly trained professional to undergo testing and consultations in order to determine the best filler for your needs. Below, you will learn more information about this and the different types of dermal fillers. What Are Facial Fillers Used For? Over the year’s dermal fillers have grown in popularity and will only continue to grow because of their unique properties. Not only can the procedures be performed in just a matter of hours without any major downtime, but also they are much more affordable than a traditional face-lift. With that being said, due to these unique properties scientists have been experimenting with these dermal fillers in a variety of different applications. Throughout the years these fillers have proven effective for a variety of different applications, which you will learn about below. Wrinkles One of the most popular uses for facial fillers is to fill in wrinkles. These fillers can be injected under the skin to plump it up and smooth out those wrinkles. Cheeks Everyone wants to look young as long as they can, but unfortunately time plays a major factor on your cheeks and skin. However, with dermal fillers you can actually augment the shape of your cheeks and achieve a more youthful look. Filling In Acne Or Chicken Pox Scars Unfortunately, there are some individuals out there that have to deal with bad cases of acne and chicken pox. These two conditions can sometimes leave deep scars in the face. However, dermal fillers can be injected into the area to give it a more even appearance. Plump Up Those Lips It seems like nowadays everyone is going for those luscious lips. You have probably seen all the Hollywood beauties and latest models walking around with these lips. Well, you might be surprised to learn that a lot of these luscious lips that you are seeing are the work of facial fillers. That’s right, dermal fillers can be injected into the lips to achieve a more plump, luscious look. Filling In Laugh Lines Did you know that as you actually smile and laugh it causes your face to crease? As you grow older these creases will become more and more evident. Well, face fillers are a quick and effective solution to this problem. Filling The Temple Area Dermal fillers have even been injected into the temples to achieve a more filled in complexion. Youthful Hands There are now even a variety of different FDA approved dermal fillers that are available for the hands as well. Not only can these fillers make those veins in your hands disappear, but they can give you that firm and plump look that you have always wanted. Earlobe Injections As you grow older you are going to see signs of skin damage, and your earlobes will be no exception. They will not only loose volume, but they will sag and become floppier. Fortunately, with the invention of dermal fillers, you can now achieve those youthful, and luscious earlobes that you have always wanted. Chin Augmentation Chins are another part of the face that more and more people are putting a huge emphasis on. Not only can a perfectly shaped chin give you that jawline that you have always wanted, but also it can make you look smarter and healthier. With that being said, you should know that there are now several FDA approved face fillers that can be used to augment your chin in a variety of different ways. Types Of Dermal Fillers Before you agree to undergo any type of dermal filler treatment, you should first research the available. There are four types of dermal fillers, all of which offer advantages and are administered in a unique manner. One thing is for sure, when you undergo this type of treatment your skin will improve greatly. There are numerous similarities between these fillers, but they’re also unique in numerous ways. Below, you will be able to better familiarize yourself with the different types. Collagen â€" Collagen is what makes up the biggest portion of the skin and within it, the skin will begin to sag and become wrinkled. Replacing the collagen will reshape the skin and improve its resilience and texture. The downside to collagen injections is they are extremely expensive. However, the results are remarkable, giving your lips and skin a youthful and plump appearance. The collagen utilized in these injections is a natural protein that comes from cow or human tissue. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved this treatment for people who desire plump lips and wrinkle-free skin. Restylane/Juvederm â€" For individuals who cannot afford collagen injections, the next best option is Restylane injections. The FDA approved Restylane injections for treating facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane derives from what is known as biodegradable, non-animal, hyaluronic acid, which is found in the skin. When the level of hyaluronic acid lowers, your skin texture and appearance will begin to decline and the signs of aging will appear. By replacing the hyaluronic acid, it is possible to revive your skin to its youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid works by attracting moisture and expanding, when it is injected in the skin. This offers plumpness, reducing or eliminating fine lines and wrinkles, as well as skin folds. Radiesse/Radiance â€" Radiesse is classified as a calcium hydroxyapatite treatment, which utilizes bone-shaped microspheres. These microspheres are suspended in a carboxymethylcellulose gel, with a watery consistency. Radiesse, formerly called Radiance, has been utilized in the orthopedic and dental fields for several decades. The FDA has approved this Radiesse injections for treating deep skin depressions, frown lines and scars. The great advantage of Radiesse dermal filler is it offers a long-lasting effect. In fact, some people who have undergone the treatment have received affects lasting up to two years. Sculptra â€" or Poly-L-lactic utilizes microspheres, which is a synthetic polymer as a dermal filler. As with Restylane and collagen injections, this treatment has been approved by the FDA for cosmetic purposes. Sculptra works in a unique manner, compared to other face fillers. The microspheres in Sculptra cause irritation of the skin, which in turn increases the fibroblastic activity. This causes the skin to boost its production of collagen. While many people describe Sculptra as dermal filler, it is not, because it acts as a stimulant to urge the skin to produce more collagen. Whereas, some of the other types of dermal fillers are utilized to replace lost collagen. Face Fillers Side Effects There are tons of types of dermal fillers and they’re all unique. Nevertheless, they all share a handful of similarities. With that being said, it is absolutely pertinent to do your best to find out precisely which product is right for you. Then, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the risks associated with that particular filler. In return, this will help to ensure that you’re actually prepared for everything that could come your way. Below, you will find a breakdown of some of the most common side effects frequently linked to facial fillers. Side Effects Of Hyaluronic Acid Wrinkle Fillers Hyaluronic acid just happens to be the most popular type of wrinkle filler. It works exceptionally well for the intended purpose and tends to deliver the best results. Nevertheless, it is possible that the patient will experience some unwanted side effects when undergoing treatment with hyaluronic acid fillers. The side effects are rare, but some people will experience some problems. There is a potential that you’ll experience redness, bruising and/or swelling near the injection site. This is temporary and will dissipate within a short period of time. There is also a chance that the patient will experience bumps underneath the skin. Once again, these problems will almost always disappear with time. Despite the minute risks, hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be one of the fillers available at MayLips. This type of filler is capable of delivering long-lasting results that can sometimes stick around for a year or two. Synthetic Filler Risks The side effects associated with synthetic fillers tend to be very common to the aforementioned type. The patient will usually not experience anything adverse at all. Nevertheless, there is a chance that you’ll notice a little redness or bruising near the injection site. There is also a possibility that nodules will develop underneath the skin. These bumps can be seen and felt. Depending on the severity of the bumps, there is a chance that they’ll need to be surgically removed. Again, the risks are very rare and most people will experience none of them. Side Effects Of Collagen Wrinkle Fillers Collagen was the first material utilized to create wrinkle fillers. In the beginning, the collagen was primarily extracted from cows. Today, collagen fillers are just as popular as ever. On top of that, they’re considered to be very safe for the patient. There are some risks to note, but they’re minor and very rare. For instance, some patients will develop a little soreness, redness and bruising at the injection site. There is also the chance that the patient will experience an allergic reaction. This is usually only a problem for fillers that have been made using cow sources. Risks Of Autologous Wrinkle Fillers Finally, there is the autologous wrinkle filler. This is widely considered to be the safest type of filler, since it is made from the patient’s own fat. Since the filler is made using materials from your own body, there is no need for FDA approval. Despite being considered incredibly safe, there are still a few risks to know before undergoing treatment. The risks linked to autologous wrinkle fillers include some minor redness, bruising and tenderness near the injection side. How To Minimize The Risks Of Face Fillers The good news is that there are steps you can take to greatly reduce the risks of experiencing these negative side effects. First and foremost, you should never allow the price to steer your decision in one way or another. If you’re paying excessively low fees for fillers, there is a chance that something shady is going on. Do not be afraid to pay a little more, because it might mean that you’re getting a better product. Also, it is pertinent to make sure that you get the treatments in a medical environment. Always visit a hospital and clinic. Make sure that the instruments used have been sterilized. Never settle for injections in a hotel, spa or home. Do your research and make sure you choose a professional that has the experience to get the job done right! By putting more time and effort into your research, you’ll be able to reap the rewards and benefits of dermal fillers, while being able to avoid the potential risks. The good news is that the risks are minor anyway.

Police Recruitment Scotland Police Exam Study Guide - How 2 Become

Police Recruitment Scotland Police Exam Study Guide - How 2 Become One of the steps towards becoming a police officer in Scotland is passing the Standard Entrance Test (SET). While there’s more to becoming a police officer in Scotland, such as passing the interviews and having all of the necessary qualifications, the SET test is important because you need to pass it to move onto other stages of the selection process. So, it certainly pays to take time learning how to pass it. We’re going to discuss all three in this Police Exam Study Guide. The SET test assessment is made up of three exams. These are: • Numbers Test â€" Solving a series of numeracy problems without the aid of a calculator. • Language Test â€" Using your grasp on the English language to fill in the gaps and perform some comprehension tasks. • Information Handling Test â€" Answering questions based on graphs, tables and other data provided. You are given up to 30 minutes to complete each of these written tests. The numbers test is one large section, whilst the other two exams are divided into sections, each with a different task. The pass mark differs for each test. As of the time of writing, these are: • Numbers â€" 65% • Language â€" 75% • Information Handling â€" 67%In this police exam study guide, we’re going to cover each of the three tests so that you know exactly what you’re getting into.Numbers TestThis is arguably the most straight-forward part of the SET test, since there’s only one question format. You are given around twenty maths questions to answer. The test starts with more simple maths questions which involve addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. For these, make sure to keep BIDMAS in mind:Brackets Indices (powers of) Division Multiplication Addition SubtractionThese questions become more complex, and start to involve problem-solving scenarios. For example:There were recurring power cuts in the first week of March 2017. Areas affected were without power between 0700 and 0900 on Monday, 1300 and 1600 on Tuesday, a nd 1900 and 2245 on Friday. In total, how long were these areas without power (answer in hours and minutes).Underneath the scenario, this is a simple addition and time comprehension exercise. Other questions can be phrased in this way, but might ask you to perform subtraction, multiplication, or division. Make sure to keep an eye on the instructions that the question gives you so you write your answer in the correct format. The final page of the test is blank so that you can use it for working out if necessary. Your working isn’t marked.Language TestIn this part of our police exam study guide, we’ll be looking at the language part of the SET test. This test is divided into four sections, each with a different task. We’ll go through each section and take a look at what you need to do, and what skills you’re being marked on.Section 1The questions in section 1 each have a sentence with one word missing. You must choose the word that fits best (and is spelled correctly) from a cho ice of 5 different words or phrases. For example:The burglar had used a _______ to force the lock.Scroodriver/Screwdriver/Screw Driver/ScrudriverEach of these questions are worth one mark. This section is essentially testing your spelling and grammar. You need to pick the word which is of the correct tense (i.e. past, present, or future) and is spelled correctly.Section 2This section is similar to the previous one, but you are given a longer passage with a number of words removed. You are then given a series of words and phrases that you need to insert into the passage in the right places. Bear in mind that you are given more words to work with than are missing from the passage, so you need to be careful about which ones you pick. For example, if you have 12 words missing from the passage, you might have somewhere between 15 and 18 words at your disposal. Some of those words will not fit into the passage!Again, this section is testing your ability to read a text and figure out which words match each place properly. There’s a blank box at the bottom of the page which gives you space to test your ideas before writing them into the passage.Section 3In this section, you have to make sense of a jumbled-up sentence. You’ll be given the start of a sentence, followed by a number of phrases which need to be placed in order. For example:Andrew went /(to buy)/(to the shops)/(milk and cereal)You’d need to reorder the words as follows:Andrew went to the shops to buy milk and cereal. This section tests your skills in grammar and sentence structure, as you’ll need to know how to rearrange the phrases so that they make sense.Section 4This final section of the language SET test assesses your comprehension skills. You’ll be given an extended passage that you’ll need to read carefully, and take the key information from. Then, you’ll have a series of questions based on the information in the passage that you’ll need to answer. Here, you’re being tested on your rea ding skills, as well as your ability to pick out key details.Information Handling TestIn this final section of our police exam study guide, we’re going to take a look and the information handling portion of the SET test. Like the language paper, this test is divided into multiple sections, each with different material to cover. For each section, you’ll be presented with a table, graph, or other figure representing data. Then, you’ll be given a series of questions about the data represented. The point of these exercises is to see how well you can interpret data and answer questions based on it. Take some time to practice looking at graphs and tables, and brush up on your percentages if you need to.Police Exam Study Guide â€" ConclusionIn this police exam study guide, we’ve taken a look at each of the three parts of the SET test: numbers, language, and information handling. Superior Selling 8 Tips for Excelling as a Retail Sales Associate

Superior Selling 8 Tips for Excelling as a Retail Sales Associate If you want to excel at your job as a retail sales associate, youll need to take advice form the pros. Here are eight of the best tips to help you stand out. Are you a new retail sale associate whos wondering if youve got what it takes to make it? Do you need a few tips to help you close on sales and up-sell to your customers? The United States retail marketplace is worth more than $3.5 trillion, and exceptional salespeople can earn big. Whether youre on commission or just starting out at your local mall, this article is for you. Well cover the eight top skills for retail sales and give you some pro tips on how to make a great resume. 1. Friendliness If youre a naturally friendly person, you should have no problem excelling in retail. Every list of tips on how to be a good sales associate starts with friendliness. You might see dozens of customers during the course of your shift. If you can approach every one of them with a welcoming, positive attitude, youre on the right track. Building rapport with your customers is good for your store, too. When youre friendly, youre creating long-term customers who will spend more money with you. 2. Patience No matter what kind of retail sales youre in, not every customer encounter will end in a sale. You have to have the patience of a saint some days to help people who have a hard time making up their minds. Part of sales is having the patience to help your customers, even if theyre indecisive. You can make recommendations for clothing, for example, and offer to wait while they try them on. Customers want to be helped by someone whos giving them their full attention, so take a deep breath and dive back in. 3. Product Knowledge Youre going to be able to make more sales if you know what youre selling. If your store changes stock often, ask your manager to make a list of the items you should recommend. If youre selling food, try to sample some each week. When a customer comes in with allergies or a need for low-sugar products, youll be able to steer them in the right direction. Even if youre selling vacations or other luxury items, you should still learn as much as you can about your product. What would your customer have to pay online, or at another store? 4. Creating Value Youve attracted your customer with your patience and friendliness. Now its time to build value in their minds. They may come in asking for a cheap product. How are you going to help them buy something durable? You can start a conversation about features to create value. Instead of saying, this product is more expensive, just talk about its durability and warranty, if it has one. Other ways to create value are letting the customer hold the item and try it out, or doing a side-by-side comparison with another product. Dont pressure your customer, but do talk with them about investing in a long-lasting product. 5. Honesty Above all else, always be honest with your customers. Never lie about the price or functionality of a product or service. Itll get you in hot water and its not worth it. If youre trying to move up to management or wondering how to be a good sales associate, the answer is always honesty. When youre hired as a manager, youre going to be looking for solutions for brands. Specifically, how to merchandise your products and how to reach your customers more efficiently. You need to establish a track record of answering customer questions and pitching in around the shop. The best advice weve heard? Dont be on time, be early. 6. Up-Selling While youre making sales, you should always be thinking of products that you can recommend. If theyre buying a new bed, theyre probably going to need new sheets as well. And what about a new bedroom set to seal the deal? Some customers may not want to go with your recommendations, but youll never know unless you try. New salespeople might feel reluctant to up-sell, but its an important part of good retail sales technique. If youre nervous about seeming pushy, just keep your tone light and casual. The worst they can do is say no. 7. Attention to Detail Another essential part of how to sell retail is to maintain close attention to detail. You could gain leverage with a customer by pointing out sale prices or buy-one-get-one deals. Develop good work habits as early as you can, most companies want to hire from within. If you can focus on the details, you can make more relevant recommendations and close more sales. You need time and money to start a business, but conscientious and consistent employees are what keeps stores in business! 8. Closing the Sale You may have heard of the ABCs approach to sales: Always Be Closing. Its a good idea to ask for the sale, but you dont want to seem desperate or pushy. Talk to your customers like you would a friend. Dont rush them, just ask them if theyre ready to check out. If theyre still looking, theyll say no. If a customer is in your store, it means theyre thinking about buying. Working on commission can be nerve-wracking, but a natural and friendly approach will win out over pressure tactics every time. How to Make a Standout Sale Associate Resume Even if youre a beginner sale associate, you can still craft a stellar resume. If youre an experienced seller whos feeling stuck in your current position, read on for pro tips about how to sell yourself. Try to keep track of the contributions youve made to your store. Have you increased customer satisfaction through excellent customer service? Are you driving repeat business with your attention to detail and professionalism? Take the time to create a resume that highlights your talents and skills. You might be new at sales, but you learn quickly and take direction well. Those are both skills that look great on a resume.
